本课程是功能材料专业大三本科生的选修课。课程采用药物控制释放原版著作中译本和最新发表的英文文献为参考资料，中英双语讲授控制释放技术和药物传输系统的基础知识，包括控制释放技术、药物传输系统，以及定速、定位和定时药物传输的基本概念，基于不同释药机理药物传输系统的设计基础、释药动力学特征及数学模型、载体材料选择、影响释药速率的因素、体内和体外评价方法和应用现状等。兼顾介绍药物控释领域前沿发展和相关专业英语知识。使学生构建以目标为导向的药物控制释放体系的设计-制备-结构-释药行为的学科知识体系和思维模式，获得采用现代化手段获取资料文献的技能。 ‘Theories and applications of drug delivery systems’ is a selective bilingual course for the third-year students majored in functional materials. A Chinese version of an original specialized book and some newly published review papers and full papers in the field of controlled release technology and drug delivery systems are chosen as references. The fundamentals on controlled release technology and controlled-release drug delivery systems (CRDDS) are taught in both Chinese and English. The main focus of the course include fundamental concepts and basic knowledge associated with controlled release technology and drug delivery systems, rate control, spatial control and temporal control; design strategies, release kinetics and the corresponding mathematic models of drug delivery systems based on different release mechanisms, and the choice of appropriate drug carriers; the factors influencing the release rates of drug delivery systems; in-vitro and in-vivo testing as well as the application of CRDDS. The advances and future prospective of CRDDS as well as the specialized terms associated with CRDDS in English are also covered in this course. The students will be trained to establish the systematic knowledge on the regime of design-preparation-structure-release behavior of CRDDS based on target-orientated way of thinking, and promote the capability of literature search by using modern measures as well.
